Manasquan Bridge 2 Bridge - April 25th 6pm
Brace yourself for an adrenaline-pumping challenge as the rowers set off from the Monmouth Blvd Bridge, rowing north through the serene Manahassett Creek and into the expansive Pleasure Bay. But the calm won’t last long—soon they’ll power west past the iconic Gooseneck Point, pushing through the waters all the way to the Seven Bridges Rd Bridge. A sharp right turn marks the halfway point, and the race back to Monmouth Blvd Bridge begins. This course is a true battle of tide, current, and endurance—only the toughest will conquer the waves and come out on top!
Shrewsbury Bridge 2 Bridge - May 7th 6pm
Get ready for an exhilarating race set in the heart of the Manasquan River, where fierce currents and challenging courses collide! The Manasquan Bridge 2 Bridge event kicks off at the iconic Rt 35 Bridge, with rowers powering through the river’s twists and turns. Heading west, they follow the winding channel south of the island, pushing their limits all the way to the Rt 71 Bridge. Then, it’s a sharp turn, racing through the northern channel and charging back to the Rt 35 Bridge for a thrilling finish. It’s a true test of skill, speed, and strategy in the ultimate waterway showdown!
Shark river row - May 16th 6pm
Get ready for one of the most legendary challenges in the series – the Shark River Row! Kicking off from Shark River Hills, rowers line up for an epic journey through winding channels. They’ll head east, slicing through the waters toward the first piling, then turn south, powering through the channel with the finish line in mind. The next challenge comes at the second piling, where they’ll navigate around the closest channel marker before pushing out into the open inlet. Under the bridges they go, heading straight for the ocean! After rounding the buoy, it’s a thrilling race back to the start, battling the waves and the clock every stroke of the way. This is the ultimate test of speed, strategy, and sheer willpower!
Shrewsbury Cup - May 23rd 6pm
It’s time for an electrifying return to the Shrewsbury River! The rowers will line up at the Monmouth Blvd Bridge, ready to power east past Schmidt’s Point, carving through the channel toward the green buoy #33. At this pivotal moment, they’ll make a sharp left shoulder turn and set their sights on the finish. But the excitement doesn’t end there – on the way back, rowers can choose their own path, battling the current and pushing their limits toward the thrilling finish line at Branchport Park. This is a race where every stroke counts, and strategy is key!
Fitness Shop 10 mile row - may 30th 7am
Get ready for the ultimate endurance challenge – the Fitness Shop 10 Miler, the longest row in the series! This grueling test of willpower and determination begins on the south side of Bradley Beach. Rowers will power north, facing the open waters all the way to Roosevelt Ave in Deal. There, they’ll make a sharp turn around the buoy and begin the intense journey back home. With every stroke pushing them to their limits, this 10-mile race is a true battle of stamina, strategy, and heart. Only the toughest will conquer this mighty challenge!
Asbury Park Bell Buoy Row - June 6th 7am
The Bell Buoy Row is an epic 5-mile journey with a legendary twist! What began as a daily routine for the iconic rower Mickey Fiedeck is now a thrilling race that kicks off with a heart-pounding beach start in Asbury Park. Rowers charge south toward Avon, powering through the waves until they reach the buoy for a sharp turn. Then, it’s a fast-paced return to Asbury Park, but the excitement doesn’t stop there! Just when the finish line is in sight, rowers will have to beach their boats and sprint up the sand, racing to the finish with everything they’ve got. It’s a true test of strength, speed, and grit!
1st Annual Harry Hoehn Memorial Row - June 13th 6pm
Get ready for a legendary showdown in the Harry Hoehn Memorial Row, named after the iconic rower himself! This thrilling race begins with rowers lining up on the beach in Ocean Grove, ready to tackle the surf and make their way down to Allenhurst. There, they’ll make a crucial exchange before turning around and powering back toward Ocean Grove. But the excitement doesn’t end there—once they hit the beach again, it’s a mad dash as rowers race up the sand, pushing their bodies to the limit for the final sprint to the finish line. This race is all about grit, speed, and overcoming the waves!
Pavilion 2 Pavilion Row - June 20th 6pm
Get ready for a legendary showdown in the Harry Hoehn Race, named after the iconic rower himself! This thrilling race begins with rowers lining up on the beach in Ocean Grove, ready to tackle the surf and make their way down to Allenhurst. 35th Annual Jungle Row - June 28th 6pm
The Jungle Row is the crown jewel of the JSRA and one of the longest-standing and most exciting races in the series! This thrilling battle begins at the farthest eastern point of Deal Lake, where rowers line up and launch into a full-speed sprint west toward the iconic train bridge. But the real challenge begins as the boats must navigate through the bridge in a single-file line—the first rowers through will have the edge, while the rest of the fleet faces a historic struggle to break free from the traffic jam! After conquering the bridge, it’s full steam ahead as they race west to the southern finger of the lake, turning the first buoy at Wickopecko Rd. From there, rowers head east, around the point to the north finger, and turn another buoy before pushing toward the finish—straight out to the ocean! This race is a true test of strategy, speed, and the grit it takes to fight through the chaos and make it to the finish line!

New for Summer of 2025 - Singles Row -May 3rd 10am
The Single Man Row at Shrewsbury is a high-octane exhibition race you won’t want to miss! Kicking off from the iconic bridge, rowers will charge north, powering past Schmidt’s Point and navigating the winding channel toward the green buoy. After making the turn, it’s a relentless race back to the Branchport Park ramp for the final showdown. While this race doesn’t count toward the Point Series standings, it serves as the ultimate tie-breaker, so expect fierce competition and fast-paced action! It’s a chance for rowers to show off their skills and battle it out for the edge when it matters most.
2024 JSRA Races Series Champions
After an electrifying 8-race series, Green and Kipnis emerged as the unstoppable force, dominating the competition with an incredible performance that saw them claim victory in all but one race! Their precision and skill were unmatched as they flew past the finish line time and time again. Hot on their heels, Kortenhaus and Elyseev secured a solid second place, showcasing consistency and strength by competing in every race and earning podium finishes across the board.
Meanwhile, Casner and Wanner proved their dominance, always in the hunt for a top 3 spot despite missing a few races, ultimately claiming third place and showing why they are a team to be reckoned with.
It was an intense and fiercely competitive season with every team giving it their all. A special shoutout to Dave Healy, who finished an impressive second overall despite racing with multiple partners throughout the series, proving his versatility and skill on the water.
